There are two pivoting links and three control rods connecting the mixing unit with the angled shaft in the rear of he fuselage. To make things even more complicated each rod has a different cross section and differently dimensioned connecting forks. The later each machined from CrMo steel.
The installation of the flight controls in the fuselage is about 90% completed about by now. The last items missing are the control wires for the elevon trim and the rudder control section in the very rear of the fuselage. Before I can order them I need to figure out the exact length of them on CAD.
The next building step will be the attachment of the vertical fin to the fuselage. The brackets are made of CrMo steel, which stands for many hours under the welding helmet during the coming weeks.
