The very first item to be built is the spar for the vertical stabiliser. Is made of two laminated spruce planks glued into a conical shape. The shaping of the front and rear side into a symmetrical conical shape was a challenge. I built a jig in which the spar can be cut by hand router and then rotated to cut the other side.

Of course the building of the jig took way longer than the shaping itself.
