Work on the bottom rib has started.

It is built from a plywood sheet and flanges of poplar wood. Why this must be poplar wood is an unsolved secret.
The flanges are glued to the plywood with plenty of oversize. The entire piece  will then be cut to shape on a computer controlled mill.
