Fuselage Attachment of Vertical Stabilizer...

The installation of the reinforcement box is complete. This structure channels the forces from the vertical stabilizer into the fuselage and had to be built quite robustly. Drilling all 86 holes for the metal brackets took a lot of time and patience due to the tight space constraints. With the help of drilling jigs I made using the 3D printer, the holes were eventually drilled perfectly perpendicular.

The last shipment of the remaining screws got lost on its way from the USA to Switzerland and is now untraceable. A new order is on its way, and hopefully, this time it will arrive. Once these screws are in place, the fuselage attachment will be finished.

The next construction step is the fuselage sheating. For this, the fuselage needs to be turned onto its back. This is a tricky task, as the fuselage now weighs around 300kg.
