The tip came from an old Air Force colleague. Apparently, a complete nose landing gear was displayed at a friend's house, and the owner might be willing to part with it. The first inspection revealed a DH-112 Venom nose gear in perfect condition, complete with original labels indicating that the gear was completely overhauled in 1981 and had since been stored dry and unused. And even more importantly, the owner, Franz Walti, a passionate jet model aircraft builder, was willing to sell it to me at a very reasonable price. There was no hesitation after that.
The search for the main landing gear parts continues. Since they are made from Bf-109 parts (Pilatus P-2), this search is proving to be quite challenging.
