Mounting of the Vertical Stabiliser Spar – Part 1


The first fitting for the attachment of the vertical stabiliser spar has been made. That took a solid four days of focused metalworking and welding, including some scrap. According to the original drawing, the axis of the mounting tube was supposed to be inclined by 2° 15″. Thanks to CAD, it turned out that the angle is actually only half of that. One of many drawing errors that add to the construction experience.


The second fitting is already in progress, but this one has a different design.
