From one large piece to three smaller ones.
With the side rails screwed in place and the associated roller carriers precisely aligned, the nose gear door was carefully cut into three parts. That was a nerve-wracking moment. A lot of work had already gone into this component, and the 9-degree angled cut had to be flawless from the first attempt. Getting it set up perfectly on the table saw took almost an hour, and the actual cutting process lasted just about 12 seconds.
It came out perfect.

Then came the moment when the functionality of the landing gear, both retracting and extending, could finally be tested. And it works flawlessly. The front landing gear door rolls smoothly over the middle segment and perfectly seals the gear bay.
