The sheeting of the rudder leading edge is made from plywood with a diagonal grain direction. This needs to be pre-shaped before gluing. A good friend of mine, Koner, made the profile block with high precision on his table router. Many thanks, Koner! After the plywood was thoroughly soaked, it was bent over the profile block and left clamped for three weeks. After another week of drying in the open air, it was trimmed, beveled, and then ready for gluing.
