Rudder Static Compensation

At the top of the vertical stabilizer, the weight for static balance is installed. It consists of two lead profiles, hidden under a fiberglass cover.

I cast the lead profiles with generous excess material in a mould. This allows for the correct balancing of the vertical stabilizer once it is fully laminated.

The negative mould, including the core for the cover, was created using the 3D printer. However, the perfectly laminated shell only came out right on the third attempt.
