The sheathing consists of four plywood segments with varying thicknesses and grain orientations, which had to be assembled into one piece using scarving joints. And to make things even more challenging, these pieces had to be preformed while damp and then left to dry.
Once the first side was glued on and my construction advisor, Daniel Gallaz, gave the go-ahead, the fin could be sealed. To apply pressure to the glued joints without using staples, creativity was required. The ceiling supports worked perfectly for this purpose.
For sanding the leading edge, I once again used templates made from the 3D printer.
