Vertical fin covered both sides

Each cover consists of four plywood segments of different thicknesses and fibre directions, all attached to each other by scarf joints. To make things a bit more difficult it all needed to be preformed to the curved shape in wetted condition and the let it dry it out again over a full week.

With the first side attached it all needed to be inspected by my wood building consultant Daniel Gallaz. I was given a thumbs up so I coud carry on closing the entire fin. Avoiding the use of metal tacks on the glueing areas I reverted to some creative strut applications from the ceiling.  It proved very well.
The final shaping of the leading edge was done with the help of 3D printed templates.
