Right on time for Christmas, the welding job for the nose landing gear main support is complete! Of course it didn’t work without building a jig.  And it paid out. The welding distortion turned out well within acceptable limits. Before machining the bore holes the entire piece needs to be heat treated to relief internal stress.

Meanwhile the raw material for the other part has dropped in. (see update 1) hich enables me to carry on there.
